[ Since 2015 — 48 journeys ]
We plan one route a season and walk it ourselves before anyone else does. Mountains first, then the coast, then the quiet at the end of the road.

Terra & Tide
Fourteen days that change underfoot three times. You finish somewhere that looks nothing like where you started, having travelled the whole way at walking pace.
01 · The idea
Planned in days, not highlights
Every route is written as a sequence of days, each with its own altitude, hours on foot and somewhere to sleep at the end. Nothing is a bullet point.

The first six days are spent above 2,000 m.

Toshi Nakamura

Why eight is the number
Eight fits one guide, one table and one vehicle. At twelve the shape of the week changes, and not for the better.
